Purchasing Agent $15-20/Hr

Our client in Moyock, NC is actively seeking a qualified Purchasing Agent for immediate employment. This is a 2 month contract position with a salary of $15-20/Hr dependent upon amount of applicable experience.

Primary Purpose:
Responsible for working closely with approved vendors and maintenance personnel to procure materials and services needed to support aircraft and facilities at all bases.

Essential Functions:
- Perform work to acquire supplies, services by purchase, rental, or lease through purchase orders.
- Coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies.
- Review requisitions, confer with vendors to obtain products or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule, product quality or performance and inventories.
- Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
- Coordinate with Shipping/Receiving and Accounting Departments on deliveries and assist in resolving problems.
- Maintain a filing system for all procurement matters.
- Prepares purchase orders, maintains manual or computerized records.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Required Education/Experience:
- Three (3) years experience required.
- Working knowledge of WinAir or other inventory management software preferred.
- One (1) year aviation purchasing experience preferred.
- Requires knowledge of policies and procedures for purchase orders, knowledge of commercial supply sources and common business practices related to sales, prices, discounts, unit of measure, and deliveries.

3+ Years Experience, Working Knowledge of Inventory Management Software Preferred, Aviation Purchasing Experience Preferred
